So basically the outline of the plot for this game is from the American Saturday morning show Static Shock? If you don't know, the show took place in Detroit (Chicago? Philly? I don't remember exactly where) in a very urban area. There is a huge gang gathering and a whole area of a city is blown up with evil corporation bomb gas stuff. And the main protagonist is hit by the bomb and gains electric powers. Using his new powers, he fights evil super powered gangs.

Man, I remember that show. There should be an unlockable Static costume.

Static's actually on a lot now on some new Disney channel called Disney XD. Their schedule says its on at 3p/2c on Mondays through Thursdays. Boy does that take me back.

This is also probably the closest we'll come to getting a STATIC game and it not sucking...

Thats exactly what i thought, this game seems to use a pretty unoriginal idea, if I was DC, I would sue, even the bad guys in the game come from the same idea that they get their powers the same way the hero does.

It's like the Giana sisters all over again.

Static Shock was amazing. One of my favorite cartoons ever.

That was how Staticshock started? Wonder if Staticshock ever had an episode where he faced the moral dilemma of killing the government that made him who he is.

I was surprised to find out that Static Shock is actually DC Comics canon. In the Justice League cartoon when they travel to the future an older (and very Samuel L. Jackson looking) Static is a member of the Justice League.

There is nothing new under the sun. If you went through the origins of every comic book hero and villain you would come across a great many similarities. Taking this to court would be pointless as unless they use specific names, places, or characters it's all too vague.

It is kind of eerie though.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Infamous <i>riped-off</i> Static Shock.  Sure, they're similar, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Here's my interpretation of an early infamous dev meeting: "We need an excuse for this random guy to have some kick ass powers, and also we need these other guys to have some moderately less kick ass powers. Any ideas?"  "How about a radioactive accident in some lab?"  *silence*  "How about we blow up a bomb in the middle of a city, except its only sort of a bomb cause these guys are still alive and now they have superpowers."  "Lets go with that second one."

Also, Static Shock was an awesome show!!
