It's definitely pulp in the states, but who gives a shit. Bits kind of just sounds like someone is dangling their dong in your OJ.
Too bad you guys can't get actual Florida orange juice, not even all of the US can get 100% Florida. Tropicana is fucking gross once you've had the real thing. It's full of bitter Brazilian oranges.
California oranges make alright eating, but they are terrible for juice.
Pulp makes more sense to me in just the language of what it's trying to describe, bits makes it sound like parts of the machine broke off into the container of juice. I'm used to many U.K. English terms & saying this drink has bits never makes sense to me.
"Bits" is 0% descriptive of what this stuff is. It's pulp. But perhaps more importantly, did you know there was a gaming convention in Miami in 2009? We should add some information about it.
Whenever I think of pulp, I think of tree pulp. The type of fibers that are used to make paper. The stuff inside juice isn't mostly pulp, it's discarded cell membranes. So it's more accurate to be broader by calling it "bits."

Also, I think the more important issue is pulp or pulp free? I go pulp free. When I drink something, I like it being a liquid.
I like a little texture to my citrus-based drinks. This only really applies for those though, I wouldn't want to start drinking other juices with pulpy matter in 'em. It's not like they're not liquid, unless you get extra pulp. But then it's just kinda comparable to a smoothie, that's how I think of it.
I'm an Adelaidean, and pulp is the only right answer. I'm sorry, fellow Commonwealth-er, but I can't let this affront be ignored. Having said that, I'm still rather smitten with the Queen's--my Queen's--English. So, thanks for that.
