as close as I'll ever come.

EDIT: so...They took the parts no one looked at and made it premium?

THIS IS NOT FUNNY
MisterChiefon May 31, 2011 at 6:07 a.m.
So its Bungie.net except 7 years later and it costs money?
Anwaron May 31, 2011 at 6:12 a.m.
Stupid narration, trying too hard to be funny, promising revolutionary stuff with MP, I'm sure Activision believes that.

I'm really not a big fan of call of duty, but this seems pretty interesting.
ThreeRoneCon May 31, 2011 at 6:16 a.m.

Nothing really new here, Halo did this years ago, hell even Killzone did this. Eitherway looks good and cant wait for Modern Warfare 3.

It's like Steam Community, Bungie.net, Battle.net and a whole bunch of free online services for all sorts of games that already exist all had a baby, but then that baby had a baby with Bobby Kotick but now Bobby has custody and we all have to pay child support.

Or something.

Activision has really honed the ability to come off as douches in whatever they do. CoD = Fratboys.
Sitoxityon May 31, 2011 at 6:18 a.m.
I really don't get why they feel the need to make this subscription based...the only real benefits you seem to get for paying is the possibility of prizes and DLC.

That and the entire video was really, REALLY dumb.
Branthogon May 31, 2011 at 6:18 a.m.
Every counter-strike server I've ever played on for almost fifteen years offers extensive stats and community stuff for free. But hey, keep giving me reasons to avoid COD/MW. Fine with me. Maybe you'll get me to go from playing non stop for six weeks and then never touching it again to not touching it in the first place.

Also, the "communication" stuff that "puts you in touch with other players" or whatever . . . gosh, what a great idea. I was just thinking the other day about how my life needed more racism and homophobia in it.

Like, whatever.
theodacourton May 31, 2011 at 6:25 a.m.
Brooo, that is a long video to explain absolutely nothing. 2 bits of information (stats and events) with added terrible comedy for your bros. I think this will not be as successful as Activision are hoping.
Jeffsekaion May 31, 2011 at 6:26 a.m.
This...this wasn't funny at all. Terrible, also Bungie did this for free when Halo 2 came out. Fucking retarded.

Maginnovisionon May 31, 2011 at 6:34 a.m.
The entire thing felt like an ad, and then they told you give us your money and I stopped it.
kollayon May 31, 2011 at 6:35 a.m.
"You can join a clan. Those guys are your..."

it's fucking 2011. No need to explain what the hell clans are, dudebro.

Well, if anybody was unsure of what to think about Elite, this god-awful shitbag of a trailer sure made up their mind real quick.
