An all-out battle rages between the forces of Superman and those allied with Batman’s rebellion. Time has stopped—the world completely frozen in a instant of time—a moment where violence has boiled over and could consume the meta-human community.

So that might be the reason why there are so many Batman related characters... it's Batman's forces versus Superman's.

I may be the minority on this but that sounds terrible. (So far)

I don't really care for Superman Vs. Batman type plotlines, heck I don't really care much for when they are in the same room. That said I'm sure it will be presented well, since I really enjoyed what they did with MK9's story, but if this is true then I just lost more interest.

Wasn't this Ultimate Alliance 2's storyline? But replace Batman with Captain America and Superman with Iron Man.
