    Overview

Iosefka is initially depicted as a doctor that is merely trying to keep herself safe during The Hunt. She resides behind a locked door, to which the player can talk to her through. Talking to her during the early stages will have her give the player a Iosefka Blood Vial, which can heal more health than a regular blood vial - although the player can only carry one at a time. Repeatedly attacking her door will cease contact and she will no longer give the player her vials.

However once Father Gascoigne has been killed, and should the player return to Iosefka, she will now sound much more unstable and asks that the player send any survivors to her clinic for safety -- those same survivors can alternatively be sent to the Grand Cathedral chapel. Upon doing so she will give the player Numbing Mist items, which can be used to temporarily disallow whomever it hits from healing - player and NPC alike.

Should the player manage to locate the shortcut that'll allow them access to her clinic, they will discover that Iosefka has been experimenting on the people the player has sent. They have all now been turned into the strange blue celestial creatures; each one will drop an item confirming their identity. Furthermore, regardless of how many people were sent to the clinic, there'll always be one of the blue creatures that resides next to the door that Iosefka talks to player through, which will drop a Iosefka Blood Vial upon its death implying that that was the real Iosefka and the other one is an imposter. If the player heads deeper into her clinic, the evil Iosefka will ask the player to leave and to continue sending survivors, otherwise she will attack. However at the same time she expresses a morbid curiosity at experimenting on a Hunter all the while. Iosefka will fight like a Hunter NPC and has equipped a Threaded Cane and Repeater Pistol; she also has access to the 'Auger of Ebrietas' and 'A Call Beyond 'Arcane spells.

Ordinarily Iosefka will drop a Moon rune, though if Iosefka's clinic is entered after Rom, The Vacuous Spider boss has been killed, she will be found on a stretcher complaining of internal pain and will not attack. Killing her (which'll take but a single hit) will have her drop a Third Umbilical Cord, implying that she was in fact pregnant with a baby Great One.

    Trivia

    • Her name is pronounced as yer-sef-ka.
    • She wears the White Church armor set, which is located for collection in the Forbidden Woods.
    • The real Iosefka and the imposter each have their own voice actress to further separate the two.
