So the game is coming to PC in a week!!! Hell yes!!!!

http://www.doublefine.com/news/comments/iron_brigade_is_coming_to_pc/

I'm one of the many who does not turn on their xbox anymore and I'm really looking forward to finally playing this!

*So I just realize there is another post about this, though that one was from months ago, this was just announced today*

Spoilers: Some crazy German table top company owns the rights for Iron Brigade on the PC, and so they are renaming it.

Do they have sys reqs? My brother's pc is garbage, but this is totally the kind of game we'd play.

#5 Posted by Xeirus (1298 posts) -

@videorob: They haven't announced anything yet, other than it's coming.

It's suppose to be $15 and come with the exp pack for free though.

Great, now I have to get to wave 98 (or more) on the hospital... again :P

There's a lot of talk about it have Games For Windows Live though :(

Doesn't Microsoft own the Iron Brigade IP? I would be surprised if it didn't require GFWL.

Stacking and Costume Quest were both GFWL, so this isn't too surprising.

Oh man, you'll have to log in once and then never worry about it again, damn you GFWL!!!

GFWL is the difference between a day one purchase and long considered evening thinking about the future of videogames.

I don't know about Costume Quest, but what makes you say that Stacking is GFWL? I played through Stacking on PC and I didn't have to deal with GFWL...

I hope it does well, game is so damn awesome. Double Fine really nailed the feel of the game, it just feels loads of fun to play.

Wahoo!

#16 Posted by Shookems (474 posts) -

Gonna buy the shit out of this. I've been waiting for so long.

#17 Posted by andriv (256 posts) -

can't wait, so many salutes

hope they release it in iceland, unlike some Microsoft games (flight sim, fable 3)

#18 Posted by Shookems (474 posts) -

How cool would it be if they put a competitive multiplayer mode in this game? I'm thinking in the style of the old Warcraft 3 tower defense mods that had you balancing income on upgrading towers and sending creeps over to the other team's side.

My stacking isn't GFWL. I dont think so anyway.

I'd rather they spent their time working on Iron Brigade 2: Drenched.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

#22 Posted by yoshisaur (2703 posts) -

Awesome, I'll finally play it. Also, GFWL doesn't really make me cringe as much as it use to. I have no problems with extra achievements.

#23 Posted by oneidwille (149 posts) -

I've been wanting to play this. Might finally agree to that steam EULA now...just for Double Fine. Only for you...

#24 Posted by Moncole (636 posts) -

I was waiting for this announcement since they said it in the one TNT.

#25 Posted by Mijati (910 posts) -

This is all well and good but when are they going to release Trenched on PC? God damn it Double Fine.

False. Stacking and Costume Quest were both Steamworks games.

It's published by Microsoft. GFWL was to be expected all along. They either accept Microsoft's conditions, or not publish on PC at all.

I'll take GFWL over no game at all, thanks.

If I hadn't played this game to death already I'd be super excited about this. Hope they fix all the networking issues I had.

#28 Posted by probablytuna (3617 posts) -

Awesome, that pretty much completes my Double Fine Steam collection.

#29 Posted by Laini (185 posts) -

Still not showing up on Steam so I guess it won't until launch day but I'm curious if this will have a 4-pack. Cos I think I can very easily rustle up 3 other people to play with me :p

#30 Posted by DeF (4861 posts) -

Hm I expected this to show up once the new sales switch gets flipped (9 minutes ago).

There's a 50% off Double Fine bundle but still no Iron Brigade (or Trenched, just for old times sake).

It's out! Installing at the speed of light! Finally I get to play this game, I loved the TNTs with Brad Muir so much.
