Noooooooooooooooooooooo! Maybe this is just a rumor being started that leads up to him speaking at Microsoft's press event at E3.
J Allard
J Allard, (born James Allard), is the former Chief Experience Officer & Chief Technology Officer, for the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. He has worked on the launches of the original Xbox, Xbox 360, and the Zune media player.
J Allard is rumored to be leaving Microsoft???
" People cried when the other guy left. I can't even remember his name. Black was it. I don't remember. See how meaningless it is. He is only the over payed figure head of the people doing the actual work. They are still there. "This. It's not like J Allard did all the work. The workers did, and like jrbl1 said, they're all still there. Nothing will change.
I can't believe the negative opinion of you guys. J Allard was in charge of Xbox and Zune; he had direct control over the future of Microsoft. He didn't do all the work, but he let creative things get done. Let's see someone else at Microsoft do that.

"you don't know if someone could do better...you're acting as if J Allard is the only creative person at MS.
That being said, I still hope he doesn't leave, but him leaving because the courier or whatever got cancelled seems plausible.
I don't have any hero worship for the guy like you but to me it sounds like Microsoft doesn't want to go forward with this project and he is probably going to buy the rights to it and manufacture it himself. But seriously who cares. First it was Seamus Blackley, then Peter Moore and then J.Allard and life went on.

" I didn't know he was even still at Microsoft. "Me, too. I thought he'd left years ago. Shows how much I pay attention to these things and how much they really matter to the average gamer. Both of which is "zilch".
Why isn't GiantBomb talking about this at all??? They love J Allard
Edit: I stand corrected they discus it on the bombcast
