    Overview

    James Earl Cash is the protagonist of Manhunt. He is a death row inmate that, at the game's start, is due to be executed by lethal injection. However, rather than kill him, the injection only knocks him unconscious. He awakens sometime later to find himself in the abandoned rust belt town of Carcer City. Lionel Starkweather, an insane film director, has cast Cash as the star of his latest snuff film, and in order to survive, Cash must stealthily make his way through the city while killing an assortment of psychopaths that Starkweather has brought in to murder Cash as part of his film.

    James Earl Cash has a small cameo in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He appears as an action figure in Zero's RC store in San Fierro behind the counter, along with action figures of Lance Vance and Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
