    Megami Tensei

    In most Megami Tensei games that take place in modern times, yen is usually the currency, otherwise having the demon currency Macca take its place.

    In the original Shin Megami Tensei, yen is the currency for the first act of the game. After arriving in the post-apocalyptic Tokyo, the main characters find that yen has become worthless, with Macca replacing it as society's currency.

    Pokémon

    In the original Japanese versions of the Pokémon games, yen is used as the currency. In international versions, it is replaced by Pokémon Dollars.
