Jason Anthony Griffith provided voice work for numerous Sonic characters, including the mascot himself, from 2005 to 2010.

Jason Griffith was the official voice actor of Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog and Jet the Hawk, making his video game debut with Shadow the Hedgehog in 2005 right up to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing in 2010.
 
He succeeded Ryan Drummond and David Humphrey, as part of Sega's deal with 4Kids to replace all previous voice actors with those from the Sonic X anime series (where Griffith voiced both Sonic and Shadow). This caused a fair amount of upset among fans who believed the previous actors were better. However, in 2010, Sega announced that Griffith had been replaced by Roger Craig Smith as Sonic's voice actor, whose debut will be made with Sonic Colors. It is currently unknown if Shadow and/or Jet have also been recast, but this seems very likely.
