Jay Wilson was the lead designer of Diablo III however, in January 2013 he has stepped down from his leadership position with the project but still maintained at Blizzard. He did allude to continuing to have some oversight on Diablo III, despite leaving the project though to focus on other projects within the company such as the cancelled game Titan.
He also spent time working on World of Warcraft and was included in-game as Ja'y Nosliw, a Skybreaker General NPC, found in Shadowmoon Valley.
After 10 years at the company on June 7th 2016, Wilson announced he was leaving the video game industry entirely to focus on a writing career which he said was the passion he was pursuing when he fell into working in the industry.
