Beef O'Brady in his natural environment: The truck stop.

Saturday was a day of reflection as we made our way from our homes up in San Francisco down to Los Angeles for E3 2014. Naturally, we streamed audio the entire way. Here's an archive of said audio courtesy of my Soundcloud account. I actually wanted to run the audio in one of our podcast feeds but the MP3 files that Mixlr spit out to me were corrupt and I don't have any more time to import them raw and fiddle with them, E3 is about to happen. So instead I'm using the power of the internet and embeddable audio players to bring the "magic" to you.

Thanks to Alex, Greg Kasavin, and Danny O'Dwyer for taking the trip down with me.

There's some great shop talk in the second half about the Gamespot days, Alex Greg and Jeff have a lot of shared history and listening to it is the fucking best.

@vinny_says: Tuesday because they discuss stuff that's under embargo until then.

Also, this "podcast" is really great.

After the conferences so their predictions can be proven wrong/right. Also, like AMyggen said, embargo.

As a resident of the East Bay, I appreciate Danny's fascination with the suburbs of the East Bay, but I think there are more fascinating places than A Street between Hayward and the lower parts of Castro Valley. Although, I'll agree with Jeff; that is a pretty rad car wash! Also, I wonder if Danny'll attend the Saint Patrick's Day Festival in Dublin when that time comes around. It seems like the whole city shuts down for that thing.

Really loved the publisher stories and the Gamespot conversations.

Future should do the theme song for E3.

Also, Jeff's appreciation for Pusha T makes me enjoy him as a person even more than I thought possible.

Pretty sure I saw 3.3k when I checked in early on. As Mixlr would say, "He's putting my kids through college".

It peaked at about 3300 listeners, and throughout most of the things the second most popular stream on Mixlr had about 200 listeners. Near the end of it some rock stream managed to get about 2000 listeners though.

Well I'll be damned. An archive. Thanks jeff!

Also, it was great seeing Greg join in on the stream.

Does it seriously take 7 hours to drive from San Fransisco to Los Angeles? That seems crazy!

Why put it up late? Wouldn't it be better tomorrow at that time

#46 Posted by Winternet (8006 posts) -

I fell asleep during it live and woke up in a haze and bummed out that I didn't had the inner strength to last it all the way. Went to check out the archive and realized I missed the last 10 minutes. So close.
