As far as I can tell, this is a dude who's trying to take advantage of the "recommend GameFly to a friend feature" by somehow getting people to join through saying they know him...or it could just be a scam to get people credit card numbers.
Either way, I doubt cartoon-Jeff or real-Jeff really approve.
I don't even know if their service is legit. I'm pretty sure I'd have issue with that first, because if they're the kind of scammers I think they are, lifting Jeff's cartoon image is the least to be worried about.
As if the website didn't come across phony enough, it links you then to GameFly. Because you know, somebody interested in renting games would go to a shit website like that first, then follow a link asking for your information. They wouldn't just go to the actual website first!
@Bigandtasty: Everybody always wondered how Giant Bomb is making money. The secret is that cartoon Jeff is the spokesmen for gamefly on sites that no one has ever heard of.
