She went to work for Ziff Davis Media in 2005, writing reviews for Electronic Gaming Monthly. In 2006, she became the Community Manager of 1UP.com, where she was also a regular contributor to 1UP's Retronauts podcast.

Frank has written about games for Wired, Kill Screen Magazine, Unwinnable and Vice Motherboard. She is currently working as a freelance writer and voice actor, and has the title of "Big Cheese" at the video game and pop culture blog Infinite Lives.

In 2012, Frank provided the voice of the (in her words) "slightly taunting" announcer in Terry Cavanagh's games Hexagon and Super Hexagon. In the game Videoball, she is one of two available announcers.
