John Turk is an actor, model, body builder, and former police officer from Chicago. He is best known to gamers for his portrayal of the unmasked Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat 3. In that same game though, he also played the role of nine other characters including Shang Tsung and all of the masked, male, human ninja (Chameleon, Classic Sub-Zero, Ermac, Noob Saibot, Rain, Reptile, Scorpion, Smoke). Turk continued his work with Midway by playing Sub-Zero again in the first MK adventure game, Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero.
Turk's ten character portrayals would appear in later iterations of MK3 including Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Mortal Kombat Advance, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat.
