    Overview

    John Wheeler was named technical lead on Papyrus's most promising titles: NASCAR Racing and NASCAR Racing 2.  John Wheeler oversaw and directed the work of over a dozen programmers in multiple locations during the development of NASCAR Racing 2.  He also did additional work on IndyCar Racing II, whilst working on designs for several new products when he was named technical lead for Grand Prix Legends game. John Wheeler decided to leave Papyrus in February of 1998 to take some time off and to explore other software development opportunities in the gaming industry.   

    In July 2008, John Wheeler, along with Adam Lesvesque, officially founded the development studio Blue Fang games. John Wheeler is currently Vice President of Advanced Technology.
