Jospeh Turok is the main protagonist from the latest revamped Turok franchise.

History

Joseph Turok

Originally a convicted criminal Joseph Turok, and a group of other criminals, was brought to what they believed was a military prison. There they met a man named Roland Kane, a highly trained and elite soldier who led a black ops squad known as Wolf Pack. Kane trained Turok, and the other crimals, in the art of killing quickly and quitely. His two prefered weapons were the knife and bow, and taught Turok that Native Americans, Turok's ancestors, were some of the greatest warriors in history because they used these weapons.

Turok fights off a deadly Raptor

On his first field mission with Wolf Pack Turok his told to elimante all possible threats in a village which is believed to be full of enemy soldiers. Turok elimantes all those encamped at the village until his final kill who just a girl. As she dies in Turok's arms Kane informs him that he did an excelent job, but they were missinformed and no enemies were in the village. Turok diserts Wolf Pack after hearing the news.

Joseph Turok eventually becomes a member of Whiskey Company. Whiskey Company is going to a mysterious planet to capture Kane who has gone rogue and is helping the Mendel-Gruman Corporation research biological weapons. Kane's men shoot down Whiskey Company's ship which crashes on the mysterious. Now Turok and the surviving members of Whiskey Company must fight to survive against Kane's men and the biologically engineered animals on the planet.

Heritage

Turok is a Kiowa Indian, one of the most feared Indian Tribes in North America when settlers first arrived. At the start of the game Turok is ashamed and disgusted by his heritage and takes no interest at all. As Kane teaches him of their power and prowess with the knife and bow Turok begins to take pride in his roots and and no longer sees it as a weakness.
