One of the best racers on the PSP!!
Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights is a multiplatform game but this review is for the PSP version only. This portable racer is visually stunning and a thrill to play. I have played through all the recent PSP Need for Speed games and I can tell you that Juiced 2 makes the PSP versions of the NFS’s look graphically like a DS game…no offense to the many DS fans out there. The graphics are terrific, the menus are user friendly and the music is on point as well. The game play is good but not perfect. It definitely feels similar to NFS in many ways. There are different types of races to participate and bet on, including circuits, speed laps, eliminators and drifting. My favorite type of racing in this game is drifting, there is some great drifting to be had in this game, right down to the Tokyo Nights parking garage track. AWESOME! The levels truly do look amazing on the PSP, they spent a good amount of time adding the polish to this game. There are great reflections coming off of each cars paint from the lights and atmosphere of the game. I used my “RL” car, a black 2007 Civic si, for most of the game and the black paint was like a mirror for all the fast moving reflections. I would definitely suggest that anyone who appreciates racing games and owns a PSP should pick up this fantastic racer.
