    Jushiro Ukitake

    Juushirou Ukitake is the Captain in the 13th division of the Gotei 13. One of the oldest captains in Soul Society, this has made him one of the most respected and admired figures for his strength and kindness. His lieutenant in the thirteenth division is Rukia Kuchiki and before her, Kaien Shiba. (Rukia's mentor). His zanpakuto is called Sogyo no Kotowari. His teacher at the Soul Reaper Academy later called the Spiritual Arts Academy was Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, Captain of the first division.
