Kaiko was a German game studio, delibaretly choosing their name to reflect their "Japanese" take on computer games in terms of visuals and design

    Short summary describing this company.

Kaiko was founded in 1990 by  Peter Thierolf, Frank Matzke and Chris Hülsbeck (who became one of the most prolific compser of the early home computer eta). By 1993, Kaiko was deep in the red numbers and Hülsbeck claimed this was due to the bad marketing and business experience of its three members. They had been looking for financial and infrastructural assistance but to no avail and ultimately closed down in 1995. Two of Kaiko's games, Record of the Elf Saga and Miss Honeybee & The Shock of Magic never saw the light of their release day. The members went on to join other companies, such as Factor 5 and NEON.
