Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is the reason Giant Bomb exists.
Story
On the way to their execution, Kane and Lynch are broken out of a prison van by The7, a group that Kane once belonged to, but betrayed. The7 want Kane to get them their money back, and threaten to kill his wife and daughter if he does not comply. Kane assembles a team consisting of Lynch, a medicated psychopath who killed his wife, as well as some old friends who the player breaks out of jail in one mission. Kane's team goes on a wild goose chase after The7 after failing to obtain all of the money, and are eventually lead to Havana, where the game takes on a more squad-based tactical shooter feel as the player takes on a small army. The game featured two endings; Kane can choose to either ditch his men in Havana and escape with his daughter, or he could attempt to save his men and lose his daughter.
Fragile Alliance
Kane & Lynch's multiplayer component is known as Fragile Alliance, a semi-competitive, semi-cooperative game mode. Up to 8 players are tasked with stealing as much money as possible and get to the extraction point and wait for a van or chopper. The twist is that at any time, anyone can turn on the rest of the group in an attempt to take all of the money for themselves. Doing so will label the player as a traitor, and the one who takes him down will be rewarded. When a player is killed (By AI enemies or a traitor), they will respawn as a police officer or something else, depending on the map, in order to reinforce the AI as the criminals try to escape.
Movie
The game is currently being adapted for a film starring Bruce Willis as Kane, with Kyle Ward writing the script. It is due to go into production in late 2008 / early 2009
