    Overview

    Kazuma Kaneko is a long-time employee of Atlus, for whom he works primarily as a character designer. He is particularly known for his prolific demon designs that are a staple of the Megami Tensei franchise. His first credit in the series came in Digital Devil Monogatari: Megami Tensei II. He ha also served as a guest designer for Capcom's Devil May Cry 3, in which he provided the design of Dante's Devil Trigger form, which was later reused for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Additionally, he contributed to Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner for Konami by designing Orbital Frames and characters found in the game.

    • In Revelations: Persona (and subsequently in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona) a caricature of Kazuma Kaneko can be found sprayed across a row of lockers located in a room reserved for the fencing club, rendered in a style greatly resembling those found in the Kaneko Creature Features. The phrase "Need Love" appears to the right of the image in question, while the words "Giv Me Love" are sprawled across the wall directly above the lockers.
    • According to an interview, Kaneko is allegedly a very heavy smoker, sometimes smoking up to 100 cigarettes a day. He was also involved in the Takenoko-zoku dance groups that were prevalent in Tokyo during the 70s and 80s.
