Kazushige Nojima

A Japanese developer and prolific scenario writer, being responsible for the story of Final Fantasies 7, 8 and 10 as well as other Square-Enix games like Kingdom Hearts.

Aerith Gainsborough

Whether her name ends in 'th' or 's', Ms. Gainsborough is one of the protagonists from the smash hit Final Fantasy VII. She's kind, soft spoken and genuinely interested in helping her fellow man.
Ansem

The heartless of Master Xehanort, and the main antagonist of the first Kingdom Hearts game.
Auron

A warrior of Spira, Auron was the legendary guardian who, alongside Jecht, protected Braska on his pilgrimage to defeat Sin. Years later he becomes Tidus' mentor and the guardian to Braska's daughter, Yuna; one of the protagonists of Final Fantasy X.
Barret Wallace

Head of the underground resistance movement AVALANCHE in Final Fantasy VII. A tough guy with a good heart. Resembles pop-culture icon Mr. T in both looks and mannerisms.
Bowser

Bowser is one of the most infamous and recognizable villains of all time. His role as the primary antagonist in the wildly popular Mario franchise has cemented this King of Koopa's status in video game history.
Cait Sith

Cait Sith is a robot cat that mounts a stuffed moogle. It joins Cloud in his fight against Sephiroth.
Cid Highwind

Cid is a tough-talking, warm-hearted old pilot who hasn't forgotten his dreams. There's no better pilot by air or sea. He believes someday he'll fly to the ends of the universe. With his handmade spear and knowledge of machinery, he throws himself into any attack regardless of the danger
Cloud Strife

Cloud Strife is the main protagonist in Final Fantasy VII. He is mostly recognized by his distinct hair style and enormous buster sword which are his trademarks.
DiZ

DiZ, or Darkness in Zero, is an alias of Ansem the Wise.
Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His son, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to star in his own games like Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong 64.
Ganon

The main antagonist and embodiment of evil in the Zelda series, Ganon lusts after the Triforce and the ultimate power it affords its user. He often appears in his human form, Ganondorf.
Irvine Kinneas

An expert gunman and consummate ladies man.
Kairi

Kairi is a character in the Kingdom hearts series. She is one of Sora's best friends, love interest, and a Princess of Heart.
Laguna Loire

A central figure in the plot of Final Fantasy VIII, Laguna Loire is encountered by the main characters in bizarre dream-like sequences throughout the story. He is a passionate, yet clumsy, 27 year old soldier in the Galbadian army, who really just dreams of becoming a writer.
Link

Link is the iconic protagonist of the Legend of Zelda franchise. With the exception of a few games, there is a different Link in each game in the franchise.
Luigi

Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
Lulu

A Guardian to Yuna from the very beginning of Final Fantasy X, Lulu is a Black Mage who uses various magical spells in combat. She deals minimal physical damage with a small magically animated doll.
Mario

Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
Pikachu

Thanks to the extreme popularity of the Pokémon cartoon, Pikachu became the most famous Pocket Monster of them all. Pikachu has also become the unofficial mascot for the franchise.
Princess Peach

Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
Quistis Trepe

Quistis is the first party member the Squall gets in Final Fantasy VIII. She is a year older then Squall and the others and is an instructor at Balamb Garden at the start of the adventure.
Red XIII

Red XIII comes from a family of warriors who are the guardians of Cosmo Canyon. His real name is Nanaki and his species live for hundreds of years. He joins Cloud and company in their fight against Sephiroth.
Rikku

Rikku is an Al Bhed thief based girl. She's the daughter of Al Bhed Leader Cid, and cousin of FFX summoner and FFX-2 star, Yuna.
Riku

Riku, a silent young man, who had almost lost his heart to darkness and has resisted the evil grasps of Ansem. One of Sora's best friends. He is truly a man of mystery...
Roxas

Roxas is the thirteenth member of Organization XIII. He is also Sora's nobody, and holds the power to wield the keyblade because of it. He is also a clone of Ventus.
Samus Aran

Samus Aran is the protagonist of the Metroid series. As a bounty hunter, she uses her armored power suit to hunt space pirates and other dangerous forces. She frequently crosses paths with dangerous creatures called Metroids in her adventures.
Seifer Almasy

Squall's rival, a candidate for SEED, and the only other wielder of a gunblade.
Sephiroth

Sephiroth is the main villain in the Final Fantasy VII series. He wants to destroy the world by summoning a huge meteor and it is up to Cloud and his friends to try and stop him.
Seymour Guado

Seymour Guado is a major antagonist and temporary playable character in Final Fantasy X. He is half human and half Guado, and the son of former Maester Jyscal Guado.
Solid Snake

Solid Snake is the main protagonist in most of the Metal Gear games. An expert in infiltration and espionage, Snake has completed countless missions and is repeatedly tasked with disarming the latest incarnation of Metal Gear. He is voiced by David Hayter in the English versions, Akio Ohtsuka in Japanese.
