Am I genuinely the only fan of Keanu Reeves in the entire world? Seriously, this guy has been in so many great movies and yet he's constantly slated for being 'wooden' when he's nothing like that at all. Sure, he's hardly the most versatile guy but besides his turn in Dracula, i'm yet to see a performance I didn't like or thought was out of place. Also, while he does excel at the deadpan, serious types like Neo or John Constantine, in The Devil's Advocate, he was by far the best in that film and he was alongside Al Pacino. So yeah, before I kind of go on a fanboyistic rant, does anyone else like this guy, or is it just me?
Keanu Reeves
A popular Canadian actor known for his performances as Theodore "Ted" Logan in the Bill and Ted films, Neo in The Matrix franchise, and most recently as the protagonist of the John Wick films.
Any fans?
Dude, I love Keanu Reeves. He gets way too much hate for no good reason. He is pure 100% awesomeness. Speed is one of my all-time favorite movies. I also totally enjoy Bill and Ted, and the Matrix. Point Break is totally cool also. He's a very quotable guy, and I totally dig that. His acting isn't nearly as bad as people seem to suggest, though it's never been anything Oscar worthy, but who cares? I watch Keanu Reeves movies to have a good time. And guess what? When I'm watching a Keanu Reeves movie, I'm having a good time. So high five, Keanu man! WYLD STALLYNS RULE!
Cool actor. He can display emotion well, it's just that too many people seem to think that The Matrix is the extent of his acting capability.
In Somethings Gotta Give he seemed like a genuinely happy dude and in Point Break he was all angst-ridden and what not.
I just saw Street Kings which was a cool film and his ice-cold demeanour looks perfect for the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still.
I loved him in the First Matrix, BTW can anyone upload that Robocop vs Neo video from Youtube? I don't know how to post videos.
"by strange, do you mean...most awesome?!"No. I mean most EXCELLENT DUDE!!!
But seriously, I mean strange as in strange.
"HandsomeDead, you have the strangest taste I've ever encountered."Er... thanks? What makes you say that, anyhow?

"Aren't you the guy that says Blade Runner is overrated? >: (Constantine? and Blade Runner overrated? Epic Hero7 you are under arrest, dead or alive, your coming with me.
Keanu can be cool at times, but he's nothing big."
What's wrong with Constantine? That movie ruled ^_^
Besides, I thought it was Handsome Dead was the one who thought BR was over-rated...
"What's wrong with Constantine? That movie ruled ^_^Yeah, I thought Blade Runner was overrated. It's not bad, but it's not the film noir everyone claims it to be. And yeah, I loved Constantine! Apparently there's a sequel on the way with Keanu attached, but a different director, so I suppose we'll have to see how that pans out.

" Anyone seen Thumbsucker? "Yes. I thought was OK but lost its way during the middle. Fantastic cast though. Vincent D'Onofrio needs to do more movies.
This is really weird to find a contingent of Keanu fans.
And I am one.@systech said:

Plus, Keanu Reeves is awesome.
He's had a few good roles, but I wanted to shoot myself after watching The Day the Earth Stood Still. Just typing about that movie makes me depressed.
" @HandsomeDead said:While I'm hoping him leaving Law & Order will fet him some big parts in big movies, it's a shame that he's been replaced by Jeff Goldblum who's going to be stuck in the same cycle. That's one thing which I don't like about the Law & Order/CSI franchises: They lock good actors into roles where they're commitet for so long that they don't much work anywhere else. I think the most recent thing I saw Gary Sinise on was the Mission: Space ride at EPCOT." @EVO said:Agreed, Vincent is awesome and was born to play Orson Welles in a big budget bio."" " @oldschool said:Whilst I am a fan of L&O, I agree. Jeff Goldblum is a tremendous character and I would hate to see him doing the same thing on L&O for years to come. Gary Sinise is likeable, but it he isn't special or anything for me. As for Vincent, I just hope someone gives him a real meaty role that shows off his great acting skills." @HandsomeDead said:While I'm hoping him leaving Law & Order will fet him some big parts in big movies, it's a shame that he's been replaced by Jeff Goldblum who's going to be stuck in the same cycle. I enjoy his stuff... when he isn't misplaced in a movie. I think he has a certain range he fits into. It's not that he's a bad actor, but that he has a limit.
I really liked him in the Matrix series and Constantine. But I personally think he was completely horrible in the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still or whatever it was called. But that movie had far worse problems than stale acting. He lacks variety, but when it comes to playing someone who is serious and solemn, he does it quite well.
