    Short summary describing this character.

At the beginning of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, Kei flies second wing in Wardog Squadron (as Wardog 2 with the callsign "Edge"), under the command of Captain Jack Bartlett (callsign Heartbreak One). She is admonished by Bartlett for flying recklessly and without regard to her own safety. After Bartlett is shot down by Yuktobanian fighters at the outbreak of the Osean-Yuktobanian war, Edge is assigned to lead the squadron. She relinquishes command immediately Wardog 4, the silent-protagonist player character (callsign "Blaze"), saying that she "will not lose another flight lead".

Later in the war, Kei is shot down over enemy territory, but manages to capture the soldiers pursuing her in time for a rescue from Blaze and the other Wardogs.

She is constantly seen writing in a children's storybook telling the story of "Razgriz", a mythical demon thought to rain death upon the land, die, and later return as a bringer of peace. The book had had its last pages torn out, and Kei wrote in it in an attempt to reconstruct the story from memory.

    Trivia

Kei is the "sister" of Ridge Racer mascot Reiko Nagase, and bears a striking similarity to the famous Namco character.
