Info
Khameleon's backstory is vague. According to her biography and ending sequence in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Khameleon is from Zaterra like Reptile and both are the last of their kinds. Her race which is known as Saurian or Raptors, were originally from Earthrealm but later moved to a new realm which they called it Zaterra or "New Earth". However, Shao Kahn discovered the place and drove the Raptors to extinction and then merged the realm with Outworld.
This angered Khameleon greatly. She sought revenge and vowed to destroy Shao Kahn once and for all. Khameleon did approach to Reptile for his aid but she was unaware that the male Raptor was an accomplice of Shao Kahn. She then spent an indefinite amount of time wandering the realms searching for a plan to kill Shao Kahn. During the events of Armageddon, she learned that the winner of the tournament will grant the ultimate power. Khameleon sought out to attain these powers herself in an effort to use it against Shao Kahn.
Development Time In Armageddon

Khameleon's latest appearance in Armageddon for the Wii.
According to the September 2006 issue of Official Xbox Magazine, it was hinted that Khameleon would appear in 3D for the first time in years but Midway producer Shaun Himmerick confirmed it at the Games Convention in August 2006 that she will not appear in Armageddon.
After Armageddon was released for the PS2 and the XBOX, fans complained for leaving out Khameleon. Art Director Steve Beran stated that the reason Khameleon was left out was because of time factor (They didn't have time to put her into the game). At the 2007 Winter Gamers Day event, Ed Boon and Shaun Himmerick finally confirmed that Khameleon will be a playable character in the Wii version.
