The killball is a giant sphere of energy in Halo 3 that kills the player if they enter it.

The killball will instantly detonate any rocket or grenade that enters it, along with destroying any equipment or vehicle. Players can enter a killball by throwing a bubble shield on the outer edge, and carefully moving around within the bubble. 
 
Killballs are popular in fan made matchmaking maps as a source of light.
