    It now has some more info on the product page on Steam:

     Free Weekend Starts Thursday! Play the full game for FREE including the All-New ‘Level Up’ Content Pack that contains 3 Maps, 7 Weapons, 20+ Steam Achievements and More! Must have Steam installed.


    Pre-Load Now and be ready to play as soon as it starts!
    But the preload button doesn't work yet. I guess it will later.

    They did start preloading early, but it is up and running now. However i cant start it because whenever i try it says "The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes." 
     
    A lot of people like free stuff apparently.

    Yeah I just got it running.  So far it seems pretty awesome, though I am not sure how long this sort of game would get me to keep playing.  It seems like it could get old quickly.

    I'm playing too, it's a lot of fun. Pretty hard to survive sometimes. I like the look of it, much darker but with more color then L4D. I agree that it may get old fairly quickly. Definatly worth playing for free for a weekend though!

    I have been playing this over the free weekend and I have to say it is a lot of fun and I am definitely surprised.  The game is only 15 bucks and I find it to be more fun and in depth than L4D... I may buy it when the weekend is up... will see.

    Tons of small updates with the UI, voice dampening option when using VOIP. And big ones like the new Demolitions class,  like 6 new guns, a new enemy called the Husk which shoots fire balls,3 new levels, and you can level your perks up to 6 instead of 5.
     
    Also new character pack DLC with 4 new characters to play as.

    There are parts of the game that come off as really fun but then some design decisions seem broken. 
     
    Maps could have been cleaned up a bit. Felt like I was getting caught on invisible walls a lot.

    This has been a pretty good free weekend. This game was a lot of fun. The free weekend was perfectly timed too, something to keep me busy until Steam unlocks Borderlands.

    Well, the free weekend is over and I enjoyed my time with Killing Floor, but I am going to pass.  Not because I don't think the game is worth it, but because it gave me terrible headaches after a 30 minute session or so every time I tried to play it.  It's too bad because I really enjoyed the gameplay.

    @FrEeZe: As of now the free weekend is over.  Apparently the weekend finishes a couple hours after noon on Sunday according to Valve.
     
    I played the game for 17.7 hours for free and man is it a great game.  I've already looked past all the faults like character box issues but it's more than fun for me.  Those perks sure are addicting.
     
    I would purchase it if I could, but sadly I can't at the moment.  I can already see this game having more staying power than Left 4 Dead (not 2) and I kinda wish I bought this instead months ago.
