I own a 360, but after watching the review for Killzone 2 I am dying for a PS3. Is it worth it to save up for a PS3 just for this game? Of course, it wouldn't be the only game I get for it, but it's the only one that currently interests me.

Also, how much is the cheapest version of the PS3?

I would never suggest someone gets a PS3 on the basis of a single game - but if you have a HD TV and some spare cash you'd also be buying a really good Bluray player.

I would save up a PS3 for all of the exclusives. It's worth it. 

I don't care about Blu-Ray. I want to play games.

Killzone 2 is an incredible game but I agree you shouldn't drop the money on a console based on one game. The cheapest new retail PS3 is currently $400. There are strong rumors floating around that Sony will announce a substantial price cut at E3 this year. So, if you're still on the fence as to whether or not you want to drop the cash I'd give it a few more months.

I'm in a "not another shooter" stage so I would say no, not for that game but for many more the ps3 offers. like: Ratchet & Clank, Valkyria Chronocles, MGS4, LBP, and other psn games. I have both the 360 and just barely got a PS3. It's worth it I guess. Just do it. Get it.

FPS games are my favorite, just for some more info.

Well I`m actually waiting for my copy of KZ2 which pisses me off, but from the reviews and impressions and my friend, yes I would actually buy this game for the PS3, plus there are many other games out that are kick ass, go for it.

Well, the two Resistance games are superb PS3 exclusive FPS's.

Like I've said, I don't really care about Blu-Ray. I don't have an HDTV (yet), and I'm fine with regular DVDs. I was also interested in Resistance and Metal Gear Solid, so of course I wouldn't be buying the PS3 for JUST Killzone 2 and only Killzone 2 forever.

I think it's worth it to save up for a PS3 for the games it has including Killzone 2.  I put 360 first, but PS3 is such a close second, I wouldn't want to be without either game-wise this generation.

Well, another important point will be do you have high speed internet? While the single player of Killzone and Resistance are pretty good the multiplayer is where the real fun and lasting investment are.

I wouldn't recommend buying a console just for this one game. Ultimately it is your choice, but if you only are interested in this game, I wouldn't suggest it. Luckily I looked through the whole topic and you seem to have interest in several other games. I'd say go for it, and you might want to look into some other games. (like Uncharted or Motorstorm, or Little Big Planet)
