Edit: is it me or is the Halghast Army one big sausage fest.

in all seriousness, there is story for this.

The helghast knew of the upcoming ISA invasion. They sent all the women and children to the nearby capital (cant remember the name).

I think there's a loading screen that covers this. Apparently the citizens of Helghan were evacuated prior to ISA invading.

Maybe the Helghast have a culture where the women are forbidden to fight... or maybe they just look exactly like the men.

@Akeldama: How could you possibly know that you've never killed a female Covenant? Perhaps the laws of sexuality as we know them don't even apply to the Covenant. In fact, other than their deep voices (which we only assume signifies masculinity), how could you tell whether or not you've been killing female Covenant this whole time?

Come to think of it, there's only one female Locust in Gears of War as well...

@StarFoxA: Yeah, the only semi-rational explanation I can come up with for that one is that maybe Locust society, primitive as it is, restricts the movement and liberties of its women. But then the whole Queen thing doesn't make sense. Then again, this is Gears of War we're talking about; not exactly renowned for its flawless plot and universe.

@StarFoxA: The Berserkers are the female versions of the Locust drones, so you can add that to the Locust Queen.

All the Killzone games I've played did not feature a female Helghast trooper. It is possible that Scolar Visari I, sought to recruit males into the military only or women are permitted and/or eligible for certain positions within the military but are not mentioned.

The Soap I had in mind, Soap MacTavish from Modern Warfare had way better grammar and punctuation.

There's a french chick in CoD3 that is actually a main character.

But eh, I'm convinced I'm the only person that still plays CoD3 online. So whatever.
