I don't know about you guys. But that sound that the game makes when you score a kill in multiplayer or even better when you score a headshot is just SOOO SATISFYING. It's like a little ring but it's not. I love it. How about you?

The Sound of a Kill In Multiplayer
I must admit, weirdly enough I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure it deserves a thread all of it's own but... it is a nice little "tweet". They should replace the obtuse trophy-get "burrrang" with it.
Yea. I really like it. Every multiplayer needs something like that to tell you, that you have killed the guy.
I especially like it when you dont know he is dead yet and you hear it.

I tend to join US games because they seem to work together more. Maybe its because in all the EU games everyone is speaking french. Plus I love hearing an american accent over a Scot or welsh one...

Without being a total twat -- some of the guys in the US servers take it way too seriously (read: are too good).
"thats cool and all but why settle for that when you can be like halo and have the announcer announce notable kills!!!"Killing Spree".

"thats cool and all but why settle for that when you can be like halo and have the announcer announce notable kills!!!"Quake 3 Area, and Unreal Tournament say "hi" :-P
"I loved Q3A's "dink" noise each time you landed a hit. "
I was going to post the same thing. The sound in Killzone reminded me of the Q3A sound the first time I heard it. I'm not sure if the sound itself is pleasing or that your brain associates it with the feeling of getting a kill.
The sound has grown on me, now if only that nifty red hit indicator would show up while aiming down dot sights.
guys i think i know why everyone loves that sound... because its the 1up sound from super mario.. just sped up... and we all know and love that sound of getting extra lives...
i seen a killzone montage video and some parts were slowed down .. and that lovely chirp sound actually sounds like that 1up chime in slo mo.. i love it...
Its nice.Trophy sound is more satysfying though. Not in a challange situation more in a "I did that?ORLY?" sorta sence.
Indeed sir you are not the only one. I love that sound. It is almost as rewarding as the HL2 Combine death sound. Over and above it's base id-reward mechanism it serves an excellent yet simple game play mechanic to facilitate smooth play by highlighting, in a audible way, important game information in an otherwise busy (visually and audibly) environment that is Killzone 2.
