    Awesome close combat warfare.

I hear a lot of people complaining about the ArcTower Landing map, saying it is to close combat and is no room for any tactical combat, well I can tell you they are wrong.
Both maps are fairly close combat, ArkTower Landing being the more closed in map, but in saying that there are tons of areas people usually don't go to and use to there advantage, there are many corridors and rooms which can be used as a spawning area or even to set up hidden turrets.
The Arktower features a dark and stormy sky with huge pillar like structures that shoot out lightning every so often which adds to the maps atmosphere quite well.
The map is made up of mostly a steel looking structure, with a base on each side, it is quite a narrow map so coming into contact with the enemy is a guaranteed, rushing out of your base to set up a spawn grenade or turret is crucial to push the enemy back before they can to you, and to help ensure your team gets a hold of the Bolt Gun, which is this maps special weapon that spawns once in the middle of the map and can be a intense struggle for both teams to get a hold of, the Bolt Gun is a single shot weapon with 20 bullets/nails, and if you hit your target it is a one hit kill and they are nailed neatly to the closest solid object which is a very cool effect and shows off the slick physics engine.

The second map which is Suljeva Cliffside is a little more open but has less of an area to roam in, like on the last map both teams are on seperate sides of the map and can be pushed back to there base fairly easy if you do not rush quickly to secure a spawn point and turret area.
Suljeva Cliffside is based off the desert level in the Killzone 2 Campaign, and has nice effects to the map such as sand swushing across the ground and big beetles crawling amongst the steel structures.
The area is a little more opened up compared to Arctower but only has 3 paths to take creating a much more combat concentrated map.
The special weapon featured in Seljeva is a Flamethrower and can mean the victory for either team if obtained, if you are caught in the liquid flames your health will quickly decrease unless you can run away quick enough to regain your health, also the effects on the Flamethrower are very nice and looks stunning to watch spew onto the landscape and create a wall of fire.

All in all both maps are worth the money and I would highly recommend them to any Killzone 2 player, it's just a little sad that not many people buy the map packs when they are well worth the money and the amount of work and detail that go into the maps is pretty amazing, so check it out on the PSN store.

      Pretty good tactical maps 0

Both these new maps are well designed and encourage tactical gameplay. The new map-specific weapons that are introduced are fun, but don't really  alter the gameplay experience as much as the developpers would have you believe. The Suljeva Cliffs level is small and suitable for no more than 20-24 players. Beyond that, things get too chaotic. However, it provides a great environment for small scale battles with a map unlike any other small levels in the game (in other words, it's a viable alternat...
