Here is it for any of you care to read it.
I don't care what score it gets I can't wait to get this game, Killzone 2 is my most loved game this generation so far and I know 3 won't disappoint.
Killzone 3
Game » consists of 7 releases. Released Feb 22, 2011
Killzone 3 continues the story of the invasion of the planet Helghan by the oppressive forces of the merciless Interplanetary Strategic Alliance. The game also features an improved multiplayer progression system and refined classes.
Gamespots review of Killzone 3 is out...
"8.5 OMGWTFISSHITRAAAAAAAAGE "
Yeah I was a little surprised as they hand out 9's to just about anything these days *Cough COD*.
"I do not envy the people who have to deal with the Sony fanboys. "
I do not envy the people who have to deal with ANY fanboy.
Plus 8.5 is a great score, it's just gamespot hands out so many god damn high scores now a days it seems low.
I didn't really care for the second when I played it, but all this talk of the third has me curious to go back and try it again. The multiplayer sounded awesome, though I never tried it.
Either way, that's a good score. I'm not totally surprised given how Killzone 2 was received and what the hype around this one was like.
aint no thing. I hear its Killzone 2 with tighter controls (i'll find out tonight when I d/l the MP demo) so that means its good to go for me. Wonder what Bulletstorm is gonna get tho.
"Awful story"...that's a shame but Killzone 2 didn't have much of anything either. Surprised tho since it seems like the devs had focused more on that this time around.
" @Abyssfull said:Not all that interested in either of em, myself. Only multiplayer focused FPS I've ever gotten into was the Resistance games, to which the 3rd has me very excited for! 8D"8.5 OMGWTFISSHITRAAAAAAAAGE "Yeah I was a little surprised as they hand out 9's to just about anything these days *Cough COD*. " 8.5 is an amazing score. It doesn't seem like people understand that. "It's the internet people only deal in absolutes, it's either a 10 or a 0 there's no in between for people if it's a franchise they're attached to. All critics should have the same opinion as the person reading the review at all times. You should know better.
Thou shalt not mention that accursed site on the GB forums... ever. Doing so will get you an eternity in hell!
" 8.8 = Twilight Princess is the worst Zelda game ever. Yes, even shittier than those CDi games. Killzone 3 is shit!!!!11 "inorite!!
Seriously, are people still shitting themselves over half a point in a review score again? I love GB because their rating system is about not doing that. Can we all just agree that 8.5 is a good score? I mean it says "Great" right there under the number.
8.5 is a great score, considering how both IGN and Gamespot point out the lackluster effort in the story of the 1P mode. I might give KZ3 a try (didn't care too much for KZ2), but for now I will pass on it.

I still don't understand why people care about a review as passionately as they do . If it helps you to make a purchasing decision, great. That's what they are for. Why does it matter after that?
Hey as long as the story is good I don't care!

"Ditto. Overall this community is pretty level headed when it comes to these things. Plus the GB reviews themselves are generally well thought at and feel very real.
What's it matter if you really enjoy a game and some random website gave it a score that doesn't fit with your view? It doesn't rob you of anything, the game is still there for you to enjoy.
I await the day when people obtain the intellectual comprehension to read a review and not base a game on a single number assigned to it. This thought probably isn't shared by many, but I couldn't care less about the number, but more about the feelings being conveyed from the reviewer.
Also, I CANNOT wait for KZ3.
Shitty story? Shocker! I enjoyed KZ 2 despite its own shit story so I'll probably enjoy KZ 3 also, except this time I'm just going to rent it. The multiplayer never held my attention.
Their points seem fair and it's still a good review. Means it's a great game hampered by a few small flaws. People will still get so up in arms about this.
Considering I still haven't completed KZ2, this might be a purchase down the line, as opposed to day 1.
As a PC gamer who has played FPS games for longer than some of your lives, I was very happy about the feeling of KZ3 beta (the one released today, hours ago) with a joypad. KZ2's demo felt terribly sluggish and really un-fun because of it's controls, whereas here it's less churning butter and more "acting like you're suffering from bad physical latency intoxication".
And holy lol @ all the people taking 8.6 as a piece of shit not worth buying.
I'm no video game journalist but reading that review and watching the review video was hard. What a crappy review, he must have thrown it together in 10 minutes and he gets paid for it. I'm not even interested in Killzone, but that review is crap.
People also tend to hand out rape and murder like candy when it comes to exactly this." @Sasran said:

I hope Mr. VanOrd is ready for the stream of rage that's going to hit his inbox because of this review.

"Killzone has never been anything beyond mediocre. The only thing that makes it appealing is the fantastic art design, the graphics they get out of the console, and the way they made multiplayer dynamic with the changing game types mid-session. Kotaku has a review on the Move support and actually gives it a good recommendation, making the idea of Move-enabled FPS games more appealing.
" 8.5 is an amazing score. It doesn't seem like people understand that. "Agreed, I wish people would see that them complaining means that it puts pressure on reviewers to give it a higher score than it desserves because it will be seen a low review score. Then at a piont reviews will mean nothing.
Not mediocre to me. To each his own. Call of Duty is not my thing. Halo; I gave it a good hard try and never connected. Killzone 2 I enjoyed. All I ask is for these FPS to offer me something different which they all do and Killzone is what stuck. Counter-Strike is the only FPS that I played for an extremely long time and nothing will ever top that as far as I'm concerned." @handlas said:

I hopped into the beta during lunch and it definitely feels different. Almost a mixture of feeling looser than Killzone 2 combined with some of the heaviness....if that is even possible. I'm not sure I quite like it tbh. Probably I've been playing too much 360 tho; the PS3 sticks feel so loose in comparision.
You know guys. I really hate to bring old issues here but as far as I recall when Gears came not many of those same reviewers complained about the shitty story and when gears 2 came out they still didn't really say anything when that game's storyline turned out to be a pile of garbage. I am starting to think reviewers are just a bunch overly critical, hypocrites ass holes who just could make it as game designers so they picked the nest best thing (no offense to the GB crew). I know I am going to play the all living shit out of this game and that's what really matters.
I watched the majority of the first game being played and it was so shitty. However I downloaded the KZ2 demo and while it felt different (guns felt... heavier or something) I loved how the game looked and I think the gameplay is something that would grow on me. I'm thinking about getting KZ2 and 3 when they both get cheaper.
I heard the story for 2 and (apparently) 3 sucks, but I'm over having a good story in an FPS. There are very few that I enjoyed.
