So the single player demo was HORRIBLE.

Very verrry boring. Multiplayer beta, however, was verrry fun and addicting. Is the full game the same?  I probably won't even bother playing single player if I get this game....I preordered it but now, after playing the single player demo, i am turned off by it. I want Bulletstorm instead now.

That's how I usually feel about First Person Shooters, most of the time I just skip the Single Player and play Multiplayer with people I know, and I usually spend 4-7 full days on that mode, time which I don't see myself spending in Bulletstorm if I were to ever play that. Bulletstorm seems like a kick-ass game... for a few hours, then I'd personally probably be done with it, and be back at playing multiplayer in some game, but that's just personal preference.

@I_TheBreather: They have "single player" in video games, now?

You could have just added this to your other thread.

Dunno why people jump straight into multiplayer before finishing the campaign. It's like going to a restaurant and ordering dessert first.

ya gotta disagree like everyone else.  I thought the jetpack was a lot of fun.  I turned off the demo after that point because I wanted to save it for when I would play the full game.

It was a better demo than Killzone 2 had.

I thought it was alright.

That's weird. This game wasn't on my radar because of *shudder* Rico in the last game but the demo pushed me to pre-order it.. The refinements in the gameplay  and graphics are quite amazing when you consider kz2 was no slouch.

if by "no slouch" you mean "terrible and inconsistent framerate" then I'm with you (it almost seemed to me that the aiming controls were designed to make up for the seriously bad frame rate). Seriously, I really hope Killzone 3 has fixed Killzone 2's framerate issue (it seems to run much better from the QL) as I could barely finished one chapter of Killzone 2 before getting fed up by the frame rate.

I actually liked the demo quite a lot.

Me too. I loved the demo. Loved the variety between the mounted guns, jetpacks, wasp etc. I don't know what else a shooter can jam in? Demo rocked my socks. I replayed it a few times.

It was about as good as Modern Warfare 2's gulag level. Lots of action, not a ton of brains, but fun nonetheless.

@spazmaster666: By "no slouch" i was mostly talking about the graphics and the shadows that were on offer thanks to the deferred rendering system, but to be honest i've never been one for noticing frame-rate issues seeing as i used to play my games on a crappy pc. You may be right, nonetheless kz3 looks like an improvement, the control lag in 2 was quite attrocious and stopped me from playing the multiplayer for the frustration it caused. I still love the death animation and physics in killzone games though.

I thought the SP demo was really good.

It's more like going to Putt Putt Golf and Games and opting between the batting changes and go-karts.

i had more fun in the single player demo then the multi player beta

The SP is great in a explosive ride through various set pieces. BUT the story is hilariously flawed with tons of plot holes. If you're going to derive any enjoyment out of the story you'll have to close both eyes to any semblance of logic. It's really fun to make fun of some of the dialogue and  scenarios.

I'm on the positive side here, really liked the demo.
