I would assume that Kinect's tech is not so anthropomorphically bound that it can't work with physical objects either in the room or in someone's hand. Using props seems like a fairly simple way to increase the interactive options of the platform. Are there already games on the horizon doing something like this I just haven't heard about? As far as gimmick mania goes, props have a lot of potential.

Seemed like that concept got ditched after the announcement of Kinect.

Some people tried the Wii Wheel for Joy Ride and it had no idea how to react.

Its so reliant on reading your limbs that altering them will break it. Putting a steering wheel in your hards effectively makes your two hands into one big hand. I think for Joy RIde it even reads how high your holding your arms relative to each other more than the space between them where the wheel would be and/or the tilt of your hands if u know what i mean.
