A knife is a commonly seen object in video games. Usually used for close quarters combat, or as a cutting tool.
A knife is a sharp object that is used in many stealth-action games for different uses. In some games like Resident Evil 4, it is purely a weapon used to kill enemies that are too close for gunfire. In other games like Splinter Cell: Double Agent, the knife is used as both a tool and a weapon. It can be use to stealthily take out enemies while performing other uses as well such as breaking locks by jamming the knife in and twisting. While loud, it does save time when time is of the essence. A knife is usually a last resort mainly because a pistol or shotgun is more effective when close to the enemy, but if you are feet or inches away from an enemy then a knife kill is quick and silent.Knife games
