You take the role of Sabreman, you must find the Melkhior the old wizard who's magical cauldron demands you to find special objects which are scattered across the Knight Lore spooky castle. If you successfully retrive all of the requested objects within a forty day period, Sabreman will be freed from the curse of Lycanthropy.
Knight Lore is one of the most important and advanced titles of its era. The game is a cryptic puzzle/platform adventure defining isometricism in the same way as Super Mario defined 3D.
