    Overview

Knight Moves is a medieval-fantasy action-puzzle game developed by Kinesoft Development and published by Spectrum HoloByte for Windows PCs in 1995.

One of five games from the publisher that's endorsed (or "introduced") by Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov (the others being BreakThru!, WildSnake, ClockWerx, and Qwirks), Knight Moves is an official adaptation of the 1990 JV Dialogue Famicom game Knight Move (which was designed by Pajitnov himself).

Players control a medieval knight on a grid shaped board, hopping non-stop along the board in a L-shaped pattern similar to the Knight piece in the Chess board game. While some of the gameplay remains the same as Knight Move, such as being able to change the destination while in mid-air and making tiles uninhabitable by landing on them multiple times, the game switches from a simple single-level arcade-style structure into a puzzle-oriented multi-level campaign. Players now must complete unique levels by by collecting all coins and swords (the latter in-order) and reaching the exit crown while avoiding numerous enemies (including spiders, bats, and pumpkin-headed wanderers).
