I always wondered how well MGSV would be supported after launch considering the Kojima/big budget game development situation.

I'm not surprised that Konami will shut down one of their last remaining game development studios, but I am surprised that they shut KojiPro LA after only a month since MGO launched on consoles and the PC version isn't even out. I had thought they would give at least six months of support but I guess not. Fuck Konami.

Not surprising, i fully expected MGO to never make it to pc but i'm just glad the game came out on pc at all.

    From the article:

Konami will continue its operations to support all Metal Gear Solid titles, including the recently launched Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Online. Metal Gear Online is still scheduled to release for PC Steam in January 2016.

Boy is Kojima going to be surprised when he gets back to the office after his vacation.
