    Konahana Sakuya is the Japanese goddess of cherry blossoms. Her father is Ohoyamatsumi, the god of the mountains, making her also the niece of Amaterasu, the sun goddess.

    In Megami Tensei

    Majin Tensei II: Spiral Nemesis

    In Majin Tensei II, Konohana Sakuya appears as a member of the Megami race.

    Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4

    Konohana Sakuya is Yukiko Amagi's initial Persona in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 and represents the Priestess arcana. Yukiko acquires her after facing her Shadow in the TV World. Konohana Sakuya grants Yukiko access to fire and curative spells and is strong against fire, but weak to ice-element attacks. According to the Persona 4 Visual Data art book, the Persona's appearance was based on that of a cheerleader.

    If the player manages to max out Yukiko's Social Link, Konohana Sakuya evolves and becomes Amaterasu.

    Persona 4 Arena

    Konohana Sakuya also appears in Persona 4 Arena, once again as Yukiko's Persona. In the fighting game format, she has many of the same powers as she does in the original Persona 4 RPG. When Yukiko fights, the HUD displays a special indicator related to the strength of her fire magic. The value of the indicator can be increased by using Fire Boost.
