Let's meet some of the Koopas that appear in the series, starting with the King of Koopas: Notable Koopas Bowser, the King of Koopas Bowser - The Koopa King. He is Mario's arch-enemy in various titles. He can breathe fire and pummel foes with his massive girth. Sometimes he participate in Mushroom Kingdom-sponsored sports events. Bowser Jr. - Bowser's youngest son. He stole a magic paintbrush in Super Mario Sunshine which he used to vandalize Delfino Island. With his determination to some day beat Mario, and his love for causing mischief, he is a chip of the old block. Baby Bowser - Bowser as a baby in both Yoshi's Island games. Koops - One of Mario's partners in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He is a koopa but is not affiliated with Bowser in any way. He can use his shell to spin forward and grab items that are far away. Kamek - The magikoopa who kidnapped Baby Luigi and raised Bowser into becoming the king we all have come to know. Kammy Koopa - The brain behind Bowser's plans in the Paper Mario games. The Koopalings, Bowser's 7 children. The Koopalings - Bowser's seven children, and just as annoying. Their names are Roy, Iggy, Larry, Lemmy, Wendy, Ludwig, and Morton Jr. Dry Bowser - Bowser skeletal form in New Super Mario Bros. General Minions Koopa Troopas - The most common type of koopa. They come in a number of colors, though red and green are the most common. Koopa Paratroopa - Just like ordinary Koopa Troopas, except from the fact that they're flying. Lakitu as seen in Mario Kart Wii, giving the signal to start the race. Lakitus - Bespectacled koopas who sit atop of clouds and throw Spinies at their enemies. They can sometimes be friendly, and have made an appearance various in spin-off games like Mario Kart, Mario Baseball & Mario Tennis. Koopa Kids - Minions of Bowser who resemble minature versions of the Koopa King himself. One was made playable in Mario Party 5 and Mario Party 6. Koopa Kids love to cause trouble on various gameboards. Hammer Bros. - Among Bowser's elite minions, these koopas usually come in pairs. They have been given helmets and an endless supply of hammers. Fire Bros. - Another variation of Hammer Bros.! They can breathe fire just like Bowser! Boomerang Bros. - A variation of the regular Hammer Bros.. Instead of hammers, they chuck boomerangs after their enemies. Electro-Koopas - A type of koopa, native only to Pinna island. Magikoopas - Koopas who have learned the ways of magic. Dry Bones - Reanimated koopas that are really hard to defeat.
