Early Access to Krater

#1 Posted by Gunnar (33 posts) -

Hey guys,

I am not sure if this could be labled as unwanted promotion... but I hope not. If it is, please delete the post. We aim to give anyone that are into topdown action rpg's such as Krater (look at images and watch the movie below) the chance to give us feedback on the game shown so far - also give us tips on what you would like to be in such a game, or what annoys you in the genre etc. So, please visit www.kratergame.com and give us as much feedback and ideas you can/want. Also sign up for early access to the game while you're at it.

GUNNAR! Good to see you around again! Let's see what crazy shit you're selling me now.

*watches video*

OH GODDAMMIT! TAKE ALL MY FUCKING MONEY ALREADY!

*looks at platforms it will be on*

No XBLA? /sadface

You won't have my monies. I have no PC to download it on, as I doubt my boss will let me put it on the computers.

I'd rather not give feedback about the features myself until you guys actually show some sort of implementation of the features that you are suggesting in the video. After that proper feedback can be given when people get an idea of how capable the ideas really are in practice. Other than that, the concept art looks nice to me personally. Good luck on this project man.

Listening to Swedes speak English is the best.

@jakob187: Less and less indie devs will both with XBLA as MS are generally massive arseholes whereas Valve are wonderful people. On the whole anyway.

The main idea is to already now have ppl paint a picture of what they are expecting, with the limited info about the game. Whatever vision they have based upon the material give. Then, next step will be actual feedback after playing the game. This to not only get feedback on a finished paiting, but instead be there with the very first brush strokes on the blank canvas sorta. That sounds very, well, but you get the gist.

@Gunnar: I would like to see radiated Swedish fish that give you invincibility for short time.

From what I've seen of the art, I love the character and art designs.

Love that it's seemingly post-apocalyptic but it isn't all brown and grey. Tons of color which makes me giddy.

I hope there's decent character customization, and not just at the beginning of the game.

Always got love for Fatshark.

Concept art looks great, but I'm having a hard time developing a vision of the gameplay. Is it Diablo-ish?

@Gunnar: I know, right? I guess you guys will just have to put it on XBLA so you can get my monies. = D

Beautiful art, and Fatshark makes great games. Feel like I know too little to offer any sort of feedback right now, but I applied for the test group.

After the new XCOM and Syndicate games were shown I was worried we had seen the end of top-down games. Great to see Fatshark doing this, will follow it closely, especially as permanent death was mentioned.

FYI: We've gotten more "early access" requests than we ever imagined, but when the time comes (early next year) I promise that all of you here will get a key. I'll post here when they're available.

The Swedish Fish idea ain't bad. Maybe we can work something out with that, or with Djungelvrål or Surströmming. Noted.

Pre-Alpha starts tomorrow.

If you don't get a key by the end of the week, shoot me a PM and we'll take care of it. I did promise all you here at Giantbomb that you would get access.

You, sir, are excellent.

Hmm it was hard to judge the game from the trailer put out earlier and the one that came out now. Since I haven't seen any player interaction yet with the world outside of combat.
Would be interested to see what the meat of the game really is.

This looks pretty interesting, I shall look out for this as it develops

I would love to help out, especially since Fatshark is located only a few kilometers away from me, but I doubt it very much that my laptop is capable of running a game like Krater. If there's any other way I can help out, please let me know. Just lock me up in the office for a few hours and I'll get you your feedback!

Have everybody gotten an key that wants one? If not, PM me with your e-mail address.

BSw; Om vi gör några "på kontoret-tester" hör jag av mig. Just nu är det dock bara pre-alpha via Steam.
