Kuju has confirmed that number of staff at studios in the UK and US will be cut.
The company confirmed plans to GamesIndustry.biz, that due to harsh market conditions the company has "adopted a more cautious approach at the start of 2009".
Around 10 design or art posts at Zoe Mode are at risk, but other roles will become available in other areas to keep staff numbers circling 150. A few redundancies have been made at Kuju's American division, a number in Chemistry in Sheffield and the company's corporate HQ in Shalford, England.
We are continuing to recruit in our other studios and we expect to find roles for some of the redundant staff in those studios. Overall Kuju is expecting continued growth in 2009 although probably not at the 25 per cent growth levels of 2007 and 2008.
