Why is it that a something must either be a non-interactive cinematic experience or a pure game with incidental story and aesthetics? There are so many possibilities to ride the line between the two, unfolding a story while immersing you through interaction. The scoring solidifies the gameplay aspect, and while it doesn't alter the plot so much that it would compromise the focus of the script, it does impact exactly how much of the pieces you successfully put together, which is perfect for noir.
