Lair is a solid concept but lacks proper execution 0

With the reveal of a bevy of PS3 titles in 2005 one that caught the attention of Playstation gamers was Factor 5’s Lair. Not only were gamers interested in the title because it featured dragons, which are truly awesome, but because of Factor 5’s pedigree as a game developer. With titles such as the Star War Rogue Squadron under their belt and with the technical know-how which produced amazing visuals on the Nintendo GameCube, the anticipation for Lair was quite high. Sadly the end result is quit...

The Ps3's first epic fail 0

Lair was hyped and hyped, but it just couldn't deliver. The game concept is refreshing and new, but it's incredible how much Factor 5 screwed up. You play as Rohn, a skyguard for Asyliia, and your job is to kill those damn Mokai. Actually, the story in Lair was really good and well written, and gave the game a LOTR feel to it. Maybe we thought it would be amazing. Its not all that bad as people make it out to be. The concept is great and the cut scenes set up good episodes in the game. It is actually very addicting, especially when you really get into the roll and flow of the game. Tell me you don't like to swoop down on a group of soldiers and absolutely massacre t...

Far better then expected and the motion controls work fine 0

Lair was released back in 2007 and planed to be one of the Playstations 3's exclusive flagship titles, but turned out to be the game that bankrupted Factor 5 in the end. The game follows straight into the footsteps of the earlier Factor 5 games such as Rogue Leader, just instead of having a Star Wars setting, the game takes place in a fantasy world filled with dragons and other mystical creatures. This by todays standards seems a little odd, as most games today have moved away from the ...
