Lance

Overview

Lance is the last Elite Four member that the player has to beat before facing the Champion in Red/Blue/Yellow and their remakes FireRed and LeafGreen. With the retirement of Red he became the Champion of the Indigo League in Gold and Silver.

Lance is originally from Blackthorn City, a city known for Dragon-type trainers. His cousin Clair is the Gym Leader of Blackthorn City and his grandfather is the elder of a clan of Dragon Masters.

Anime

In the anime, Lance is shown trying to stop Team Rocket's plans to capture the Red Gyarados of the Lake of Rage, disguising himself as a member of Team Rocket.

Pokemon Adventures

Lance is shown to be part of the Elite Four, and is from Viridian Forest. Like Yellow, he also shares the gift of Viridian Forest, being able to talk with them, telepathically, and heal their wounds.
