    Balls of Gold 4

For a game involving such a busty woman, it’s surprising to see just how many balls are in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. As Lara’s first adventure in an isometric perspective, the game really sets itself apart from the Tomb Raider series as it focuses on having fun, and exploring the game world. The story is generic and obvious, and there are only three characters, which doesn’t exactly help the situation. However, the game is built upon solid gameplay and endless replayability rather t...

Co-op raiding in a great digital package. 1

Let me set this up a bit. My marriage was in trouble. Okay, maybe I shouldn't be that dramatic. I'm happily married with a great wife and one game that we literally spent hours working together in the past to finish was Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the Playstation 2. Killing wave after wave of evil spawn while competing against each other for the gold and loot, we loved every moment of it. But that is way back in the year 2001 and sadly, we never found a game that we both enjoyed and grew ap...

Lara Croft: GoL. My review. 0

I know this is in the wrong plataform, but for some reason the website recognises that I've inserted it on the XBLM section but it doesn't want to show it. So if moderators wish to help, would be great! :) Enjoy my review nonetheless!  Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light arrived as the last of our summer of arcade games, as our summer comes to an end once again. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light may not carry the "Tomb Raider" name, but as you play you will notice that it stays strong in the...

Definitely Walk Into the Light 9

Tomb Raider what does that bring to your mind at first: Large chests (literally on both counts), British accents, destroying the fauna of foreign countries, or being Indiana Jones with much finer thighs?  If any of those come to mind, you are definitely thinking of Tomb Raider...or my custom "sexy time" DnD campaign.  Now, let me throw some things at you and you tell me if you think these represent Tomb Raider:  isometric view, two stick shooter style combat, an upgrade system similar to last y...

    Nothing is lost forever 0

Having never been a fan of the Tomb Raider (or subsequently the Lara Croft) series, I was more or less indifferent to the The Guardian of Light’s release. However, the positive reviews, easy $15 price point, and eventual inclusion of online cooperative play led me to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised, as Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light is not only a highly competent action/puzzle game, but it’s also one of the best cooperative gems you can get for fifteen bucks. After stagna...

Crystal Dynamics Saves Lara From Irrelevance (Again) 2

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light marks the second time that Crystal Dynamics has rebooted Lara's image during this console generation, but this new face lift is a much bigger departure for the heroine. Although industry vets generally seemed excited for this new adventure, I thought that setting a Lara game as an isometric co-op title sounded a little crazy. Fortunately, my concerns proved unfounded, and GoL turned out to be the fastest, freshest adventure yet for Lady Croft.  Due to th...

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Review 0

By - Craig H.The last few installments of the Tomb Raider series have been less then spectacular (to say the least). The series is looking to bring back the magic that made Lara Croft the recognizable character she is today. The brand has dropped the “Tomb Raider” manicure and is simply “Lara Croft”. The team at Crystal Dynamics is looking to change the way we play Lara Croft by opting for an isometric viewpoint with a fixed camera and an arcade style gameplay mechanic. Two thousand years ago in ...

Can't turn the camera so Lara's boobs are in your face! 2

Welcome Lara Croft fans! Now there are maybe some of you who are so die hard with the series, who joined back in the first outing, shooting tigers in the face in the first level, locking the old farting butler in the freezer, who say no! No sir! I shall not go for this installment! It's not even a Tomb Raider game with trademark "A-ha!" relic finding. Well to you, sir, I say correct. You've got it right there, this isn't a Tomb Raider game. The only similarities to previous installments are Lara...

Untitled (the original title for this review was pretty crass) 0

So I was in the Best Buy parking lot talking with my brother about things that brothers are want to talk about. Important issues included women, cell phones, the revelation of a secret mission in Starcraft 2 whose existence completely invalidates my Starcraft 2 review for some reason. And why I haven’t played Starcraft 2 online in several weeks. Avoiding the real reason (because I suck at using supply depots to block entrances to my base), I suggested the reason was to move on to other games, li...

Lara Croft is back and she's raiding tombs in an all new way. 0

The Tomb Raider series is a franchise that needs no introduction. Pretty much everyone who is a gamer knows of the game’s heroine, Lara Croft. She’s probably more remembered for her famous ever-growing breasts every time a new Tomb Raider game hit the original Playstation in the nineties. Also not to forget the legendary nude cheats that gamers would desperately try to input only to find out it was bogus and break their hopes of ever seeing a polygonal Lara bare all. Enough of the histor...

Guardian of Light is just what Tomb Raider needed 0

1996's Tomb Raider is one of those seminal games that have spawned a myriad of sequels and essentially propelled a whole genre forward. It has since seen quite a few successes, but the Tomb Raiders of late has been rather flat, offering little beyond rehashes of that original formula and the occasional cup size change for Lara. Lara Croft: Guardian of Light looks to take the franchise in a whole new direction. Featuring an isometric viewpoint and intense, well-implemented co-op acti...

Lara Croft and the old review I'm posting 0

The years have been unkind to Lara Croft. Every sequel to the original hit Tomb Raider never quite lived up to the first, and in some cases just were just downright awful games. So when I head a new Tomb Raider game was coming out for Xbox live arcade, and that it was taking the series in a whole new direction, I thought "well it's gotta be better the Angel of Darkness right?" Actually, this is no Tomb Raider at all! This is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, taking the game from a third pers...

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Review PSN 0

Lara Croft and the Guadian of Light  Box Art  Arrow dodging, platform jumping, huge boss battles and smart puzzles. These are just a few of the many different things you can do in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Let me tell you firsthand, I was not looking forward to this at all; I wasn’t even planning on buying this game. But now I may reconsider. Gamespot was kind enough to give me a code for the full version of this game, so last night I typed it in and started downloading. After ea...

    Tomb diablo 0

this installment in the series is a nice addition to the game franchise it add a nice new perspective and a fun and new way to play tomb raider, the game play is fun and addictive and with its co-op you and your friend will enjoy a few hour of game play, the story is a little lacking and most of the puzzles are not that hard over all the game is a blast that is most enjoyed with some one else....

OnLive Review: Frustrating Controls Get in the Way of A Good Game 0

Onlive ReviewOverall the game worked flawlessly on the Onlive system. Controller and keyboard controls worked well. This appears to be the PC version of he game as you can see a mouse cursor at the loading screen if you are using the Onlive console. It quickly disappears during the menu load though. Overall the controls were responsive and all of the menus systems worked fine with the controller.Game ReviewLara Croft and the Guarian of Light is in so many ways a departure from the Tomb Raider se...
