    Why do these threads keeping popping up for DotA clones? This is like the third one I've seen this month, and they all get locked?

    It is for (I think it is called) "referring" the person who referrers get in game items and stuff. (Note I am purely guessing)

    Well, I have both Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends. I prefer League of Legends right now in terms of fun and community.

    Although I have been thinking of getting into one of the DotA clones recently, and this only helped to bring it to the front of my mind again. The terrorists have won. However having watched both the quick looks for League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth, Newerth looked the more interesting game to me, and without the weird pricing hooks of LoL. Does Newerth have anything resembling a release date yet?

    Good plan, he wasn't even smart enough to make it a link so we couldnt see the ref code in the url. LoL is a great game.
     
    @Atlas:
    Also, its not a DotA clone, its quite different and vastly improved, also its made by the original dota creator =P If you mean its a dota clone in that its the same playstyle, then all games are clones of the first one in their genre.
     
     
    EDIT: Also forgot to say, @Wolswor: Don't try and avertise in the forums, even though your not selling anything, you are still trying to advertise for personal gain.

    I support playing League of Legends, but I do not support plotting out support links. Thanks to MB for getting rid of that there. 
     
    League of Legends is a totally sweet, totally free DotA clone game. I have played quite a bit of it and have not spent a cent on it yet. Then again, I did get the disk pack for Christmas, so I'll be using that stuff soon for the month of double XP and such.

    I played a little League of Legens, but  Heroes of Newerth  is a lot beter even if it's only in the beta!

    Well League of Legends was made by the same people who made DotA so...
     
    Anyways, I just got into playing this game. All the matches kind of play out the same, but it's quite fun.

    When I was into Warcraft 3 I played enough DotA to know that I sucked at it and people got mad at me for sucking. I really don't want to relive that trauma again.

    REAL men play  Heroes of Newerth, but League of Legends is certainly more approachable and in my opinion, fun. Don't play Heroes of Newerth unless you know a whole lot about it or enjoy being yelled at.
