Valve announced the new Left 4 Dead 2 DLC set for next spring entitled "The Passing" today. The campaign will take place after the events of "Dead Center" and will add a new special infected, a new melee weapon, a new firearm, and a new game mode. But most of all, it adds the original Left 4 Dead team. The two teams will apparently meet-up at some point during the campaign, in which, I can only assume, will explode into a giant 4 on 4 fight to the death. 
 
This is probably the best possible news that I can hear about Left 4 Dead 2 and has brought me one step closer to buying this game.  Oh, and also, BILL!

That sounds awesome but why would they want to kill each other? I would think they would want to work together in this case.

Actually, it sounds carefully worded where they don't say whether or not the original survivors are even playable. For the love of God, make them playable!

Thats great, the cast of L4D1 was alot better, am I alone in saying that Zoey was my favorite character? Everybody really seems to like Bill

Maybe 8 player co-op? It would be so cool if both sets of survivors are playing the level simultaneously and then they meet up together and then you have some huge final battle.

So, who called it? I remember someone talking about this exact scenario somewhere... I just wish I could remember what that was. I honestly think they were joking, but that makes it even more awesome.
 
Pretty cool news, except for the fact that I'm perfectly happy with the cast of Left 4 Dead 2, even over the originals. Of course, you give me a combination of Coach, Ellis, Louis, and Zoey, and you've got what I call perfection.
