More Left 4 Dead 2 DLC On The Way
The brand new campaign, titled “Cold Stream” at the moment, is a mod being created by Matthew Lourdelet. Valve gave the man props at the start of the post, saying that it was digging the promise of his arena-based idea. But instead of creating the content purely on its lonesome with Lourdelet, the studio is tasking its community for suggestions and opinions on the project. It’s even set up a new forum where people can discuss the content, which should see a beta release soon.
== TEASER ==Keeping it simple, Valve is putting some project constraints in place. As stated in the blog post, these campaigns will have zero audio and no story to speak off. Also, the DLC won’t launch until after Portal 2 ships on April 20, and even then the DLC will be on “Valve Time.”
“The very first step in creating a new DLC is deciding on the larger goals and constraints for the DLC. The Sacrifice and the Passing were story heavy, so we want to see what the other end of the spectrum looks like,” the post reads. “For this DLC we start with wanting to experiment by releasing a map pack that wasn’t about story. It would just be new campaigns for Left 4 Dead 2.”
A joint effort sounds fun, but there’s no telling when we’ll actually see the content in an official form. As Valve fans well know, the studio takes its time, and only releases stuff “when it’s done.” If you’re anxious, you could try Cold Stream in its testing form when it sees a release in the next couple of weeks.

Glad to hear more DLC is on the way. I just beat The Sacrifice with a friend, and we'll run out of stuff to do soon!
There's literally a wiki page devoted to the explanation of "Valve Time" on the Valve Developer Community wiki." "Valve Time" huh? So... does that mean in a few years? "

I don't understand why they're spending time porting the L4D1 campaigns to L4D2. How does that even make sense from a business perspective? Now there will be absolutely no point in buying the first game anymore (unless you're a L4D1 purist).
I'm always up for new campaigns though so I hope "Cold Stream" will be good.
